Craft Fayre report

On Sunday April 2 it was nice to see the great variety and quality of crafts on offer, from items made from reclaimed wood and horseshoes, to jewellery, paintings, honey and associated products, plants and flowers, knitwear, photographs and cards, the list goes on.

What a talented and skilled group of people we have among us.

Teas and coffees, with the necessary biscuits to accompany, were in strong demand and Wendy Symons was kept busy keeping up. It was an opportunity to have a sit down and a natter.

The raffle tickets were selling well, ably manned by Barbara Varcoe and Erica Simpson.

I went round and had a chat to the stall holders, and it was obvious that they had enjoyed the event, as well as the opportunity to chat to other stall holders and exchange ideas.

The event raised £181 for the Village Hall refurbishment project.

My thanks to the stall holders for displaying their wares and for the generosity of attendees, who made this another successful event at our Village Hall.
